چکیده

This paper presents a behavioral representation for the class of Nyquist rate A/D converters that captures the nominal behavior , as well as all the statistical variations. To describe noise eeects we use a joint probability density function. To describe behavioral eeects due to process variations we use a covariance matrix, t. Applications of the model include identiication of important A/D error sources, eecient computation of the distributions of integral nonlinearity (INL) and diierential nonlin-earity (DNL), signal-to-noise plus distortion ratio (TSNR), and eecient worst case and Monte Carlo system simulations. Finally , parameter extraction results are presented that agree well with actual measurements.

A Novel Method for Modeling and Simulation of Asymmetrical Impedance-source Converters

Z-Source converter or impedance-source converter is a kind of power converters, which has the responsibility to convert the direct current to alternative current. This converter with respect to its circuit diagram acts as a buck-boost converter except it doesn’t use from DC-DC converter bridge. Γ-source inverters are one of the conventional converters based on impedance-sources; which have been...

High Frequency Behavioral Modeling of Second-Order Sigma Delta Modulators

Sigma delta modulators (ΣΔMs) form part of the core of today’s mixed-signal designs. They are cornerstone components of oversampled data converters. Such data converters take advantage of digital signal processing techniques and VLSI technology to provide high performance with low sensitivity to analog component imperfections and noisy conditions. The ongoing research on these devices shows the...

Non-Linear Behavioral Modeling for DC-DC Converters and Dynamic Analysis of Distributed Energy Systems

Abstract: In modern distributed energy systems (DES), focus is shifting from the conventional centralized approach towards distributed architectures. However, modeling and analysis of these systems is more complex, as it involves the interface of multiple energy sources with many different type of loads through power electronics converters. The integration of power electronics converters allows...

Improving adaptive resolution of analog to digital converters using least squares mean method

This paper presents an adaptive digital resolution improvement method for extrapolating and recursive analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The presented adaptively enhanced ADC (AE-ADC) digitally estimates the digital equivalent of the input signal by utilizing an adaptive digital filter (ADF). The least mean squares (LMS) algorithm also determines the coefficients of the ADF block. In this sch...

A Behavioral Model for DC-DC Converters using Modelica

This paper describes the development of a behavioral model of a dc/dc converter. The focus is on developing a model that simulates quickly, yet retains the behavioral features of a physical converter. Based on a physically motivated behavioral circuit model, the model is then implemented in the Modelica modeling language and simulated using the Dymola simulation environment. Simulation results ...
